Over three months, Lupeng standardized line endings using the Maven Spotless plugin, reducing build failures and streamlining onboarding for contributors. In apache/hbase, Lupeng fixed issues in the HBase shell and snapshot procedures, adding regression tests to ensure robust admin workflows. Additionally, Lupeng improved the ReplicationLogCleaner’s resilience during HMaster shutdowns by introducing defensive checks and updating test coverage. The work demonstrated strong skills in Java, shell scripting, distributed systems, and backend development, with careful attention to maintainability.
