During June 2025, Torben Spieker focused on improving the qmk/qmk_firmware repository by addressing a documentation and code alignment issue related to the Right Alt key in the Key Overrides feature. Working primarily with C and leveraging skills in firmware development and technical documentation, Torben identified and corrected a mislabeled keycode in both the codebase and its accompanying documentation. This targeted fix ensured that the documentation accurately reflected the intended Right Alt key functionality, reducing potential user confusion and misconfiguration. The work enhanced the clarity and reliability of onboarding materials, demonstrating careful attention to detail and a methodical engineering approach.
