During February 2025, Umut Inan Erdogan focused on governance and data hygiene within the Saghen/nixpkgs repository, addressing maintainer information for the limine and freesweep packages. He applied his expertise in code maintenance, configuration management, and system administration using Nix to remove outdated maintainers and update contact details and keys. This work did not introduce functional changes but improved the accuracy of ownership records, supporting better incident routing and contributor onboarding. By strengthening data integrity and ensuring up-to-date maintainer information, Umut reduced maintenance risk and streamlined future workflows, demonstrating a methodical approach to repository stewardship and long-term project health.
