Worked on the hmcts/civil-wa-task-configuration repository to resolve a critical bug affecting task initiation flows. Addressed DMN decision table merge conflicts by updating input and output entries across multiple rules, restoring correct decision logic and ensuring accurate task routing. Expanded the test suite to cover the increased rule set, which improved regression safety and confidence in future changes. The work focused on backend development using Java and XML, with a strong emphasis on DMN decision modeling. This targeted bug fix stabilized the module’s core logic, reducing the risk of incorrect task assignments and supporting more reliable workflow automation.
