During July 2025, work focused on enhancing the edgeless-project/edgeless repository by delivering a secure integration between the CLI and the function repository API. The developer replaced legacy basic authentication with an API key system, improving both security and deployment efficiency. They enabled JSON-based function configuration and updated endpoints to streamline function management, aligning the CLI with modern deployment workflows. Using Rust for CLI development and JSON parsing, the changes strengthened the security posture and standardized configuration management. No major bugs were reported, and the work concentrated on security hardening and scalability, reflecting a methodical approach to roadmap-driven improvements.
