Over two months, contributed to backend reliability and data governance across OpenMeter, CloudQuery, RisingWave, and Feast. In OpenMeter, refactored logging to structured key-value arguments using Go, improving log clarity and routing. For CloudQuery, enforced upper bounds on item concurrency and updated schema documentation to enhance API stability. Enhanced RisingWave’s error messaging by adding user guidance for distributed query limits. In Feast, developed a CLI command for safe project deletion with confirmation prompts and robust error handling, and implemented project-scoped filters to ensure data isolation. Work emphasized API development, error handling, and testing, leveraging Go, Rust, and Python.
May 2026: Delivered key features and fixes enabling safer project lifecycle management and stronger data isolation in Feast. Implemented a new CLI command for project deletion with confirmation prompts and robust error handling, aligning CLI behavior with the master implementation. Implemented project-scoped filters for data sources to prevent cross-project contamination, accompanied by regression tests to validate isolation across projects. These changes reduce operational risk, improve governance, and enable scalable multi-project data workflows across Feast deployments.
