Worked on security hardening for the Countly/countly-server repository, focusing on improving the Nginx SSL configuration. Addressed a key bug by explicitly enabling HTTPS on port 443, removing redundant directives, and enforcing secure TLS protocols and modern cipher suites. The approach centered on simplifying the ssl.conf file while aligning with current TLS best practices to enhance deployment security. All changes were consolidated into a single targeted commit, reflecting a precise and focused engineering effort. Utilized skills in Nginx, SSL/TLS, and server configuration, with work primarily involving nginx configuration language to ensure a more robust and secure server environment.
