In May 2025, Manas Mittal developed a comprehensive unit test suite for the prerna.ds.util package within the SEMOSS/Semoss repository. Focusing on backend development and data structure utilities, Manas implemented 587 Java-based unit tests covering file iteration, query structure conversion, and RDBMS query building. This work enhanced the reliability and maintainability of core database utilities by enabling earlier detection of issues and reducing regression risk. By leveraging skills in Java, unit testing, and file handling, Manas improved quality assurance processes and provided a robust foundation for safer code changes across critical components of the SEMOSS data utility infrastructure.
