Af Nazrie contributed to the jdx/mise repository by delivering three feature enhancements over three months, focusing on backend integration, tool management, and plugin development. He implemented DuckDB tool backend integration with Aqua, updating configuration and documentation to support multi-backend workflows. In subsequent work, he integrated the 'television' fuzzy finder TUI, enabling end-to-end installation and version verification through the mise tool manager. Most recently, he added Mach support to the Zig plugin, refactoring download logic for maintainability and updating tests and documentation. His work utilized Rust, Bash, and TOML, demonstrating depth in API integration, configuration, and registry management.
Delivered Zig plugin Mach support with index-based URL resolution in the jdx/mise repository. Implemented logic to fetch tarball URLs from download index JSON for both official Zig releases and Mach engine releases, and refactored download code to a reusable helper function. Updated tests and docs to reflect Mach versioning behavior, and ensured Mach installation remains possible directly while Mach zig versions are excluded from ls-remote zig version lists. This work improves reliability of tarball resolution and reduces installation friction for Mach users. Refactoring improved maintainability and test coverage.
