Developed two major AI-enabled features for the flexcompute/tidy3d repository, focusing on expanding the platform’s extensibility and user support. Delivered an AI-powered documentation and simulation assistant plugin, leveraging API integration and plugin development skills to enhance user experience and streamline access to information. Established a plugin marketplace scaffold, migrating existing configurations to support Claude Code integration and laying the groundwork for future marketplace-driven extensibility. Utilized JSON and Markdown for configuration and documentation, while maintaining end-to-end traceability through comprehensive migration documentation. The work set up scalable workflows for AI-assisted tooling, improving developer productivity and preparing the ecosystem for broader AI integration.
