During June 2025, Manuel Ramos Saavedra enhanced the honeycombio/helm-charts repository by delivering a security hardening feature for the refinery Helm chart. He implemented a configurable securityContext for the Redis deployment, allowing users to define security policies directly through values.yaml. This approach leveraged his expertise in DevOps, Helm, and Kubernetes, and was executed entirely in YAML. By exposing securityContext configuration, Manuel enabled teams to align Redis deployments with organizational security standards and reduce operational risk.
