Worked on the egenomics/agb2025 repository to enhance database installation and data management for Kraken2 and QIIME2 within the pipeline. Focused on configuration management and DevOps practices, the developer automated the download process by renaming the script to INSTALLME.sh and organizing data into a dedicated databases directory. Installation steps and documentation were updated in Markdown to streamline onboarding and ensure reproducible setups. Using Bash scripting, the work reduced manual intervention and improved data consistency across runs. Additional efforts included minor code modifications and data structure cleanup, contributing to a more reliable and maintainable workflow for users of the repository.
