Over six months, contributed to ovh/shai and continuedev/continue by building robust backend systems focused on agent-based architectures, real-time API streaming, and secure configuration management. Delivered features such as MCP transport layers, OAuth integration, and session persistence, enhancing reliability and deployment flexibility. Leveraged Rust, TypeScript, and Go to implement reproducible builds, CI/CD pipelines, and CLI tooling, while improving error handling and observability for production environments. Integrated cloud providers like OVHcloud and OpenAI, expanded deployment options, and enforced critical dependency checks at startup. Work emphasized maintainability, clear documentation, and streamlined onboarding, resulting in stable releases and improved developer and user experience.
December 2025 monthly summary for ovh/shai focusing on reliability and dependency management. Delivered Application Startup Dependency Enforcement: Mandatory MCP Connection, adding a startup flag to require an MCP connection. If enabled and MCP is unavailable, the application will not launch, improving error handling, configuration management, and ensuring critical dependencies are met before execution. This reduces misconfigurations and runtime failures in production environments. Related to issue #107.

In July 2025, two major features were delivered for ovh/shai: Release Infrastructure and Build Stability, and CLI UX, Configuration, and Documentation Improvements. The team migrated CI/CD to GitHub Actions, established the initial project structure, added essential config files, and enabled reproducible builds with explicit versioning for releases. The CLI was enhanced with installation/usage guidance, clearer permission prompts, secure XDG-compliant configuration handling, and UI/UX improvements (model list display and terminal text wrapping). Documentation was updated for onboarding and usage guidance. Major UI-related bugs were fixed, including an invisible model in the list. These changes improve release velocity, build reliability, security, and user experience, reducing operational risk and accelerating adoption.
