Worked on the Shopify/hydrogen repository to enhance the cart’s data structure by implementing recursive inclusion of nested line items, allowing for accurate representation of complex cart hierarchies. The approach involved using React and TypeScript to ensure that child line items are properly reflected within parent items, improving both technical accuracy and maintainability. Refactored variable naming to prevent shadowing, resulting in clearer and safer code paths when handling nested data. Additionally, introduced a changeset to document and track these structural updates, supporting better release management and downstream integration. The work focused on front end development, emphasizing maintainable and auditable code changes.
