Masa Chau developed interactive algorithm visualization and physics simulation features across the Ye-ICS/Algorithm-Visualizer and Ye-ICS/fss-everything-app repositories. Over three months, Masa designed and implemented core UI components, including a custom sorting algorithm, A* pathfinding visualization, and a projectile motion simulation with launch controls and accurate physics. Using Java, JavaFX, and XML, Masa focused on maintainable code structure, input validation, and user guidance through panels and progress controls. The work included code refactoring, UI/UX improvements, and the introduction of a scalable simulation framework, resulting in more accurate simulations, improved onboarding, and a foundation for rapid feature development and maintenance.

June 2025 performance: Delivered major enhancements to the projectile motion simulation, introduced custom visuals, and cleaned up the codebase to reduce debt while maintaining performance. These changes increased accuracy, improved user experience, and reduced maintenance burden, enabling faster iteration on physics features and visuals.
