Worked on the home-assistant/addons repository, focusing on enhancing certificate lifecycle management within the Let's Encrypt addon. Developed and delivered a force_renew option, allowing users to trigger certificate renewals on demand, which addressed the need for immediate updates outside standard expiry cycles. Addressed issues with flag handling to ensure reliable and predictable renewal behavior, and updated both developer and user-facing documentation to support onboarding and operational clarity. Utilized Bash and YAML for scripting and configuration management, applying DevOps practices to streamline automated certificate renewals and reduce manual intervention, ultimately improving reliability and maintainability in production deployment environments.
