In August 2025, Mat Glas delivered Git Large File Storage support in the Docker build process for the modelcontextprotocol/servers repository. By updating the Dockerfile to install git-lfs, Mat enabled the automated retrieval and management of large assets during container builds, reducing manual intervention and improving build reproducibility. This infrastructure enhancement focused on scalable asset management, ensuring that all Git LFS-tracked files are reliably available within Docker environments. Mat’s work leveraged DevOps practices, Docker, and Git, with Python as the primary language, and addressed the need for robust asset handling in modern development workflows. No major bugs were addressed during this period.
