During March 2026, Matrikss developed a security-focused WAF Rule Group Association feature for the crossplane-contrib/provider-upjet-aws repository. This work automated the association of AWS WAF rule groups with cloud resources, streamlining secure deployments and reducing manual configuration steps for users. Matrikss implemented supporting templates, GitHub Actions workflows, and YAML-based configurations, leveraging Go for core logic and integration with Kubernetes and Terraform. The feature was stabilized and merged into the main branch after thorough end-to-end QA validation, with no major regressions reported. This release enhanced the repository’s security automation capabilities and improved operational efficiency for AWS infrastructure management.
