During March 2026, Cornillon focused on improving SQL execution safety within the renovate-bot/googleapis-_-genai-toolbox repository. Addressing a critical workflow risk, Cornillon implemented a bug fix that restricts the execute-sql tool to single-statement execution, preventing unintended multi-statement runs and reducing the likelihood of data errors in production. This work involved close collaboration with co-authors to align on design, code reviews, and documentation updates. Leveraging expertise in PostgreSQL, YAML configuration, and database management, Cornillon ensured that all tests and linters passed, maintained code coverage, and delivered a stable, well-documented solution that clarifies tool behavior for end users.
