Worked on the nopSolutions/nopCommerce repository to deliver MySQL 8 compatibility within the Data Provider and migration processes. Focused on aligning data access and upgrade paths with the latest MySQL 8 behavior, the work involved updating type mappings and configuring FluentMigrator to leverage MySQL 8-specific services. Using C#, FluentMigrator, and MySQL, the developer enhanced the maintainability of the data access layer and reduced migration risks for customers upgrading to MySQL 8. The changes ensured that migrations run reliably on the new database version, strengthening upgrade safety and supporting ongoing database management needs for the nopCommerce platform.
