Worked on the CocoaPods/Specs repository to enhance observability by upgrading the New Relic agent to version 7.5.11, focusing on improving monitoring capabilities and performance visibility for the Specs ecosystem. The approach centered on versioned dependency management in Ruby, ensuring that changes were isolated to the Specs repository to minimize risk and maintain compatibility with existing instrumentation. Instrumentation updates were validated against current dashboards and alerts, supporting continuity in monitoring and faster issue detection. This work demonstrated skills in release engineering and dependency management, resulting in more actionable dashboards and streamlined triage processes without introducing new bugs or regressions.
