Worked on the NREL-Sienna/PowerSystems.jl repository to refactor transformer metadata access, focusing on simplifying exporter handling and improving code maintainability. The approach involved removing obsolete resistance, reactance, and tap formatters, enabling transformer parameters to be accessed directly from the data dictionary. This change reduced the risk of metadata drift and made exporter outputs more predictable. The work emphasized data parsing, system modeling, and software development using Julia, resulting in clearer data access paths and facilitating future enhancements. The refactor also aimed to streamline onboarding for new contributors by reducing complexity and reliance on external formatters within the codebase.
