Worked on the sonic-mgmt repository to enhance network reliability by addressing a critical routing issue related to IPv6 Router Advertisements on the management interface. Focused on operational resilience, the developer implemented a bug fix that disables IPv6 RA both on the management plane and during topology renumbering, reducing the risk of devices becoming unreachable during maintenance. Leveraging Ansible and YAML, they updated topology scripts to enforce the correct configuration, validated changes through testbed runs, and ensured alignment with backport strategies for earlier baselines. This work improved CI stability and established a more predictable reachability model in dynamic network topologies.
