Meeso Kim focused on enhancing audio emulation fidelity for the SPC-1000 PSG within the mamedev/mame repository. During this period, Meeso addressed a critical issue by implementing an audio clock synchronization fix, aligning the AY-3-8910 sound chip’s clock with the CPU frequency to ensure accurate pitch and playback speed. This work required a deep understanding of system emulation and audio programming, leveraging C++ to adjust the sound chip’s clock to precisely half the CPU’s frequency. The solution improved the accuracy of sound reproduction in the emulator, reflecting careful attention to hardware timing and a methodical approach to legacy system emulation.
