Worked on the grafana/helm-charts and grafana/loki repositories to enhance Kubernetes deployment flexibility and reliability. Delivered a Helm-based solution allowing configurable extra command-line arguments for the rollout-operator, updating YAML templates and documentation to streamline runtime customization. In grafana/loki, addressed StatefulSet service discovery issues by ensuring headless service names for zone-aware ingesters, improving pod communication. Also introduced configurable labels for ingester StatefulSets via Helm, enabling better resource management and monitoring. Focused on configuration management, DevOps practices, and documentation, leveraging YAML and Helm to improve deployment operability, maintainability, and onboarding for contributors across both projects during the two-month period.
