Worked on enhancing stability and reliability for multi-branch workflows in the git-town/git-town repository by addressing a critical branch syncing bug during the git town propose --stack command. The solution involved implementing logic in Go to ensure each branch is properly checked out before proposals are created, reducing failed proposals caused by missing checkouts. Additional commands were developed to manage branch checkouts and merges, streamlining the process of proposing stacks of branches. This work improved consistency across multi-branch proposals, reduced manual intervention for users, and aligned with product goals. Skills applied included Go programming, branch management, and feature testing using Gherkin.
