During February 2025, Michal Gazda developed and integrated an SPL2 Testing CI/CD workflow for the splunk/addonfactory-workflow-addon-release repository. He migrated the SPL2 test image from Amazon ECR to GitHub Container Registry, enhancing security and reliability for the testing pipeline. Leveraging Bash and YAML, Michal updated the CI workflow to utilize the spl2_tests_run CLI, which improved logging verbosity and simplified test setup. He also adopted a new TA test framework, reducing test flakiness and maintenance overhead. This work improved end-to-end SPL2 validation, streamlined the CI/CD process, and provided more comprehensive observability through structured logs and test outcomes.
