Worked on the actualbudget/actual repository to enhance the reliability of the budgeting workflow by addressing a critical issue in the Budget Copy feature. Focused on backend development and database management using TypeScript, the work involved refining the duplication process to ensure that hidden categories and groups are no longer copied when creating a new monthly budget. This change improved data integrity by preventing the unintended inclusion of non-visible budget items, aligning the system’s behavior with user expectations. The solution was delivered as a targeted bug fix, with traceable commits and issue references, contributing to a more robust and secure budgeting experience.
