Worked on the HL7/fhir-extensions repository to streamline and standardize FHIR extension models within the healthcare domain. Delivered two major features by deprecating outdated extensions and expanding workflow extension contexts to additional FHIR resources, such as CarePlan and Procedure, thereby enhancing interoperability and governance. Addressed a critical compliance issue by reverting changes to the shallComplyWith context, restoring original behavior and ensuring alignment with healthcare standards. The work involved API development and deep knowledge of FHIR, utilizing Java and XML to implement and document changes. This approach improved traceability, supported broader interoperability, and maintained rigorous adherence to evolving healthcare requirements.
