Worked on the basecamp/omarchy repository to enhance hardware compatibility and user experience for ASUS ExpertBook devices, focusing on Linux environments. Developed and integrated shell and bash scripts for hardware detection, display and touchpad configuration, and fingerprint authentication, streamlining installation and reducing manual intervention. Implemented power profile auto-detection for USB-C machines using udev rules and daemon orchestration, and added SOF firmware installation for Intel Panther Lake audio DSP, ensuring reliable audio output even during offline installs. The work demonstrated skills in Linux system programming, driver development, and package management, resulting in smoother onboarding and improved deployment readiness across diverse hardware.
May 2026 (basecamp/omarchy) delivered two hardware-focused features with a focus on reliability, automation, and offline-install readiness. Key work included power management enhancements and DSP audio firmware support, reducing manual configuration and improving the end-user experience across USB-C and Panther Lake hardware.

April 2026 (basecamp/omarchy) focused on hardware compatibility, install UX, and security enhancements for ASUS ExpertBook devices. Delivered two primary efforts: 1) Panther Lake display and touchpad fixes for ASUS ExpertBook B9406. Implemented new hardware-detection scripts and configuration adjustments to improve usability. Dropped the B9406 migration so fresh installs automatically pick up fixes without manual migration steps. Commit: b164549b51d790d42a725baa21fc86a34111b00f. 2) Fingerprint support for ASUS ExpertBook B9406CAA (FT9349). Added enrollment and verification flow via the FT9349 driver, with installer-side detection to avoid conflicts and a lazy-install pattern. Pre-removal of libfprint ensures noninteractive installs stay smooth; end-to-end testing on B9406CAA confirmed enroll, verify, and suspend/resume stability. Commits: 542ae346a0bf14c42fabc8ddb7643e48f1e0c0ca; a6bb239919f879e0c0f038b11cee7e72df398e2f. Business value: improved out-of-the-box usability, reduced install friction, and a safer, more convenient authentication path for users on modern ASUS hardware.
