During October 2025, Mikko Rauhala focused on release readiness for the SmartMet Server within the fmidev/helm-charts repository. He delivered a feature aligning appVersion and Helm chart versions for the 25.10.x release series, using Helm and YAML to synchronize deployment descriptors with application versions. This work enhanced deployment reliability and traceability by reducing version drift and improving rollback readiness. Mikko’s changes updated release metadata and improved CI/CD signaling, directly supporting smoother and safer releases. While no customer-facing features were introduced, his DevOps-driven approach ensured that deployment processes remained consistent and maintainable, reflecting a depth of focus on release engineering.
