The work involved creating test_extract_profile.py to validate core functionalities, error handling, and edge cases for functions such as extract_drop_profile, detect_edges, and prepare_hydrophobic. Leveraging Python, Pytest, and Mocking, the approach emphasized test-driven development and quality assurance. By expanding automated testing with tools like NumPy and OpenCV, the project reduced release risk and improved maintainability, laying a foundation for robust future development and streamlined quality control processes.
