Worked on the gronxb/hot-updater repository to deliver a scalable asset delivery feature focused on improving content distribution efficiency. Implemented immutable cache-control metadata for Firebase Storage uploads, ensuring assets are cached for a year and reducing unnecessary origin fetches. Leveraged TypeScript and Firebase Cloud Functions to route asset requests through a CDN by honoring the HOT_UPDATER_CDN_URL environment variable, aligning the caching strategy with AWS S3 plugin behavior. This approach enhanced cacheability and reduced latency, laying the foundation for faster and more reliable content delivery. The work demonstrated expertise in CDN integration, storage management, and cloud-based infrastructure optimization.
