Worked on enhancing deployment flexibility for the envoyproxy/gateway repository by introducing support for extraVolumes and extraVolumeMounts in the Envoy Gateway deployment configuration. Leveraged DevOps practices and Helm charts, utilizing YAML to update deployment templates and enable users to specify additional storage resources and mounting options. This addition addressed the needs of users with complex storage requirements, allowing for more granular resource management within Kubernetes environments. Documentation was also updated to provide clear guidance and usage examples for the new configuration options. The work focused on improving deployment workflows without introducing new bugs, emphasizing maintainability and user-oriented configuration enhancements.
