Worked on maintaining and improving code quality in the google/blockly-samples repository, focusing on front end development with JavaScript. Addressed a key compatibility issue by migrating the Blockly CodeGenerator usage in codelabs to the current API, replacing deprecated methods to ensure ongoing support for code generation workflows. The approach involved updating the custom generator codelab to use Blockly.CodeGenerator, preserving backward compatibility and reducing the risk of future breakages. Validated the migration’s impact across relevant workflows, ensuring that the updated code aligned with the latest Blockly API standards. The work emphasized careful API migration and thorough validation within the repository.
