Worked on the IBM/webmethods-helm-charts repository to deliver deployment enhancements for Terracotta BigMemory Helm charts, focusing on improving flexibility and resource management. Implemented support for specifying release names and introduced affinity configuration, enabling more predictable and scalable Kubernetes deployments across multiple environments. The approach centered on customizing Helm charts using YAML, aligning changes with ticket-driven development and maintaining traceability through version control. These enhancements facilitate smoother CI/CD workflows by optimizing pod placement and supporting environment-agnostic rollouts. The work demonstrated practical application of DevOps principles, Helm chart customization, and Kubernetes resource management, addressing operational efficiency and reliability goals for the project.
