Worked on the ministryofjustice/hmpps-interventions-ui repository to improve user experience following scheduled maintenance. Addressed a post-maintenance issue by removing the downtime banner from the content configuration, ensuring that users were clearly informed when the service became available again. This targeted front end change, implemented using TypeScript, reduced confusion and minimized support inquiries by accurately reflecting the system’s operational status in the user interface. The work focused on precise UI content updates rather than new feature development, demonstrating attention to detail and a user-centered approach. The contribution involved a single bug fix, emphasizing clarity and reliability in service communication.
