During May 2025, Kang developed the Message Forwarding with Captions feature for the pedroslopez/whatsapp-web.js repository. This enhancement allowed users to forward messages along with their original captions by introducing a new parameter to the forwarding pipeline, thereby improving context and usability for forwarded content. Kang implemented the feature using JavaScript, focusing on front end development while ensuring backward compatibility with existing message forwarding flows. The work was thoroughly documented and linked to the relevant issue and commit history. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, it addressed a clear user experience need within the project.
