Worked on the nerds-odd-e/doughnut repository to streamline the development environment by configuring VSCode for seamless Cucumber integration. Focused on configuration management and development environment setup, the work involved creating a dedicated VSCode settings file in JSON and updating the .gitignore to exclude local IDE settings from version control. This approach reduced environment-related inconsistencies in pull requests and continuous integration checks, making onboarding smoother for new contributors. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the improvements established a repeatable local setup, laying the foundation for future automation and aligning the repository with best practices for collaborative development workflows.
