Worked on the mealie-recipes/mealie repository to enhance application stability and offline reliability by addressing a critical service worker caching issue. Focused on correcting the service worker precache manifest entries, aligning base URL handling, and refining Workbox glob patterns to prevent non-essential HTML files from being cached. These improvements, implemented using Nuxt.js and TypeScript, reduced cache bloat and ensured more predictable offline behavior for end users. Demonstrated strong debugging and maintenance skills in front end development, with careful attention to minimizing regression risk while improving the service worker’s caching logic. The work prioritized maintainability and efficient offline support for the project.
