Worked on the facebook/facebook-for-woocommerce repository, focusing on improving security and reliability through targeted dependency management. Addressed a vulnerability in the tar-fs package by updating it from version 3.1.0 to 3.1.2, ensuring package integrity and supporting reproducible builds without altering application logic. Utilized JavaScript and package management tools to implement the fix, with all unit tests passing and the update merged after review. The work centered on security updates and dependency maintenance, reducing risk for end users. No new features were introduced during this period, but the contribution strengthened the project’s overall security posture and build consistency.
