During February 2025, Murkvin focused on stabilizing RPM packaging for the NixOS/patchelf repository, addressing a critical build failure related to zsh completion files. By updating the patchelf.spec.in file, Murkvin ensured that zsh completions were correctly declared and packaged, which resolved the RPM build issue and enabled successful builds in the distribution workflow. This work involved careful shell scripting and a strong understanding of RPM packaging conventions, resulting in improved reliability for RPM-based users. Murkvin’s approach demonstrated attention to repository hygiene, precise commit messaging, and compatibility with shell-completion standards, contributing to smoother maintenance and reduced support overhead.
