Worked on the n8n-io/n8n repository to enhance workflow reliability and data integrity by implementing autosave-aware workflow save controls. Developed a feature in TypeScript that checks the autosave setting and workflow state before saving, ensuring that workflows are only saved when autosave is enabled and appropriate. This approach prevents unintended saves during workflow execution, giving users greater control over their data. The work involved both front end and full stack development, with careful attention to commit clarity and collaborative coding practices. These changes improved the user experience by aligning save behavior with user intent and maintaining consistent workflow states.
