Over six months, contributed to DARPA-ASKEM’s terarium and askem-beaker repositories by building and refining collaborative modeling and data processing features. Focused on backend and frontend development using TypeScript, Python, and Java, the work included integrating equation extraction pipelines, enhancing real-time workflow collaboration, and improving visualization clarity for complex models. Addressed performance and security by optimizing routing algorithms, hardening dependencies, and streamlining Docker-based deployments. Maintained code quality through systematic refactoring, robust error handling, and stress testing. Improvements to OCR extraction, asset management, and model stratification enabled more reliable data pipelines and maintainable code, supporting scalable, reproducible scientific workflows.
