During March 2026, Mingyuan Zhan upgraded the Lua runtimes in the xmake-io/xmake-repo repository to versions 5.4.8 and 5.5.0, focusing on improving compatibility and performance for downstream users. This work involved careful package management and version control to ensure seamless integration across multiple build configurations. By validating the upgrades in various environments, Mingyuan reduced maintenance overhead and enhanced build reliability. The project was implemented using Lua and leveraged expertise in dependency management, addressing the need for multi-version support. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature delivered tangible improvements to the repository’s technical foundation and usability.
