Worked on expanding hardware support in the NVIDIA/linux-firmware repository by delivering firmware for Intel QAT 420xx crypto and compression accelerators. Developed and packaged the qat_420xx.bin and qat_420xx_mmp.bin files, ensuring seamless integration with existing firmware delivery processes. Updated the WHENCE documentation to accurately reflect the new firmware entries, supporting deployment readiness and improved hardware compatibility for enterprise workloads. Demonstrated skills in firmware development, repository maintenance, and documentation management, with careful attention to version control. The work enabled reduced CPU load and increased throughput for supported devices, addressing enterprise needs for efficient hardware acceleration without introducing new bugs during the period.
