Focused on backend development using Go, the work involved updating the TLS configuration to enable modern cryptographic groups, thereby improving interoperability and future-proofing Istio’s security posture. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as efforts centered on secure feature implementation and laying the groundwork for further enhancements. The update strengthened compatibility with partners requiring advanced cryptography, demonstrating a methodical approach to security and cryptography within large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native environments.
