Developed and delivered two core telemetry features for the formulaslug/fs-3-intro-projects and formulaslug/fs-3 repositories over a two-month period, focusing on real-time data acquisition and transmission in embedded systems. Implemented a robust CAN bus telemetry writer in C++ that aggregates sensor readings and transmits formatted messages at defined intervals, enhancing system monitoring and control reliability. Extended the telemetry pipeline by introducing main thread logic and data structures for parsing and processing CAN bus data, including continuous sensor ingestion. Leveraged skills in CAN Bus Communication, real-time systems, and sensor integration to establish a foundation for downstream analytics and dashboard development.
Month: 2025-05. Delivered CAN Bus Telemetry Data Processing for formulaslug/fs-3, introducing a main thread loop and data structures to parse and process CAN bus telemetry data (cell temperatures, brake status, wheel speed, suspension travel, strain, tire temperature). Includes a continuous read-loop with a short delay to ingest sensor readings. This work provides the foundation for real-time telemetry dashboards and proactive maintenance analytics, enabling downstream monitoring and alerting.
