Developed and delivered an automation enhancement for the Sonarr/Sonarr repository, focusing on automatic series tagging for torrents during the addition process. Leveraging C# for backend development and integrating with torrent clients, the work introduced a configurable setting that applies series tags to torrents added via magnet links or torrent files, provided the feature is enabled and relevant tags exist. The implementation included robust error handling to ensure tagging failures would not disrupt the overall workflow. This feature reduced manual tagging effort, improved metadata consistency, and streamlined series organization, demonstrating a thoughtful approach to API integration and workflow simplification within Sonarr.
