Developed and delivered a new RQBit download client integration for the Sonarr/Sonarr repository, enabling automated torrent management through a dedicated API interaction layer. The work focused on backend development using C#, with an emphasis on encapsulating torrent client operations such as adding, retrieving, and removing torrents, as well as providing real-time status updates. Version checking was implemented to ensure compatibility and safe rollouts of the integration. By structuring the solution with dedicated classes and services, the codebase was made more maintainable and extensible, supporting future enhancements in API integration and torrent client management within the Sonarr ecosystem.
